Booya, found anoher 1lbs today. The washer fluid hose for the rear window. Don't need that if I don't have a nozzle. Or anywhere to put fluid in for that matter...

I didn't weight the speakers and stereo specifically, I weighed them in batches with everything else, but I could try and weigh it later.

 

Wheel weight: RPF1 in 18x10.5...only 19lbs 4oz. Almost a half pound less than advertised!

Tire weight: RS-3 in a 285/35/18 is 30lbs 9oz.

Think spring!

 

The speakers are tiny. I think the sub plate was more than the sub lol

 

I just got the 9 pound braille battery with mount....
and a charger/ maintainer from Canadian Tire to keep it going. lol.

 

And a wire wheel set. And a tire inflator for the track.

Got 1.0 more pounds of sound insulation today with hammer and chisel. In about 1.5 hours. Thinking maybe 4-5 more hours with the hammer, then it's wire wheel time.

235.8 lbs w/o passenger seat.
189.8 lbs w passenger seat.

Still to do on interior prep. Remove rest of sound insulation from floors. Get rid of weight in doors. Get rid of any extra wiring. Instal the new Braille battery. I'd like to get the number to 250 lbs off with the passenger seat in.
Gonna have to weigh the difference between the new brembos and old base brakes.

 

Congrats on the work, I know how much of a pain it is. Its worth it when its all gone though. 250lbs off shouldn't be a problem, I think thats just under 3000lbs which doesn't take much. The doors have a lot of wight in them but with CSCS street rules I don't think you can do much (have to keep door panels and windows anyway).

Not sure your plans, but seats would go a long way. At least 25lbs each can be lost with just about any after market seat.

Are you planning to rid your AC?

 

I think I will get rid of it? well maybe. I never ever use it.
From the doors I will just get the speakers, and dyna matting out of there. Maybe the motors out of the mirrors? I never adjust them.

 

I am trying to keep the budget down, but if two truly light race seats pop up in the market place I will pick them up.
I was going to go to Ohio to pick up Fixxercasks' OMP's but, they were 46 pounds with the base and sliders. That would only save 8 pounds over the stock leather driver seat.

 

surprising to hear that the OMP's with the sliders would only save you 8lbs.

also, rims are ordered, can't wait til april :P

My Kirks are 14lbs each, and the base will probably be another 10 said and done. That's 20lbs saved each but nonadjustable. Im more looking forward to the added leg and side bolster, the stock seats are not cutting it.

A/C has to go. Figure an easy 20+lbs depending how much you remove. Plus one of the few things that can come off the front!



I would consider my seat to be a good $/lb value, and is still over $30/lb. Makes taking 1 or 2 lbs here and there out of the car worth it!
