More weight out today, first time in a while but it was good. Nearly 9lbs in the form of passenger air bag, air bag control module (since that was my last bag), and a few random bits of metal and bolts.

Blower looks really heavy, but I don't think I can go without it. The car fogs up too much as it is. I wonder what race cars use.

I'm thinking by the time I'm done she's gonna weigh in at less than 3000.
If she didn't I would be dissapointed and would start stripping more.
lol.
I was vacuuming my car for about 90 minutes tonight with a shop vac, and a little help in the tight places with compressed a air nozzle to blow out debris.

It was dusty. How dusty after all the grinding? I opened the shop vac which was clean previously, and weighed the nuclear tar residue. Total weight. 2.2 pounds. I'm sure there is 0.2 pounds in my lungs but I can't really say so I will leave it at 2.2.

Next I am going to get my LSD back in which is filled with 90PA and ready to break in.
I am going to paint the interior, and instal my braille. This weekend.

Then hopefully next weekend the rest of the mods arrive and I can put on the anti rolls, shocks and brakes.

Then I will move to taking more weight off the front of the car... whatever I can find like AC.

271 lbs off w/o passenger seat
225 lbs off w passenger seat.

Just went out for lunch and found a nice big door ding in my Z. I park at the end of the lot to avoid this! It could have only happened at work, so I'll be trolling the parking lots for orange pain on everyone's doors. They dinged it so bad the crease is bent in.

Rage!

Thats the way to go man, get everything shipped nearly free within the states and bring them over. What wheels did you get?

Today I found something I hate even more than removing sound deadening. Trying to remove wiring. Its absolutely impossible without tearing the car to bits, and removing all wiring at once since all the looms tie together eventually. So screw it, I know airbags and stereo will never go back in so I am just going to cut the wires on either end instead of trying to remove it as one piece.

Did a cruise today without a dash, door panels or passenger seat. My god is it fun! The exhaust just rumbles the car. Driving a tin can with a V6. Next year the car is getting built for unlimited classes, no more of this half street half race car nonsense.

I was just thinking, what is the most challenging technical spot I've been to.

For me, it has to be the end of the back straight at Grand Bend.

180 km/h + have to rip off quick 5-4, 4-3 downshifts to set up for sweeping right turn. then sweeping left turn.

I find I catch people through there, but can't rev match the down shifts to be perfectly smooth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9i-0W9Fn-I
~0:48 ...

I need to improve that downshifting. It's upsetting the car and it's my biggest weakness.

GB seems like a faster course than I thought it was. What do you redline at with your tune? Most likely you will be even deeper into 5th this year.

I always have trouble with turn 1 at TMP. Its one of those corners I always feel like I could have been faster through, however its a sort of tight turn (more than 90 degrees). I think .5-1 second is easily lost there with that 2nd straight to build speed back up.

Turn 2 at SMP Pro I really love. Its a slightly banked fast right hand (mid 4th gear) into a very banked tighter left hander (high 3rd). But since its banked if you have the courage you can pretty well start to accelerate right after turn in and let the car push out. Also turn 6 at SMP long, is a really fast 4th gear left that if you set up right you can go through without lifting. Feels good when you get it right.

DDT I can't really think of much. I guess coming up the hill on CCW has a difficult line to maintain speed. Its a pretty slow/technical track, I was about a second slower there while a second faster at SMP than a few consistent civics last year. Our cars like to go fast

redline is the same. 6600.

You are right turn 1 is critical, but with one downshift right as I redline 4th down the straight I find it easier to time.

I find by watching that 80% of people lose all their time at TMP after the kink. Especially the last hair pin, most people lolly gag through there so they don't hit the wall.
