I bet the judge was looking for a reason to let the guy off. Next time he is back facing manslaughter charges, maybe the judge will actually hold him responsible for his actions and the ******* will get some help (albeit too late).

I don't think it's spelling. I think since some Americans figure they are from America, Canadians must be from Canadia. And they go through life spelling and pronouncing it that way.
