Default Zed meets Zed -- Winter meets summer -- My 98 Cavy and 04 350 (pics)

heres a few shots of my Zeds, 1998 Cavalier Z24 and my 2004 Nissan 350Z

About a year ago i posted pics of my zeds together for the first time. It was around July 2008, 2 months after i bought the 350Z and 3 months before i parted a bunch of stuff on the Cavy.

The cavy was my summer car before i bought the 350. When i bought the 350 i sold my old winter car and the cavy became my new one.

So i decided to take a few pics before the 350 goes away for the winter and give you guys a bit of an update.

then -- summer 2008

now - summer 2009

changes:

Cavalier -- Bodykit removed, aftermarket rims removed, bow-tie removed, audio removed, and a bunch of other small things removed. Stock rims painted added, snow tires added.

350Z - Bodykit added, lowering springs added, newer oem rims added, window tint removed and added, audio added, and a bunch of other small things added.

ps: the 2009 are not the best pics, the weather has not been very nice the past 2 weeks and thats the best i could get.

2008 THEN, the face off

2009 NOW, the face off-- again

Is it just me or is the cavy lower, and its the winter car?

You should have the z lower twenty fo seven, and the cavy maybe not lowered

The 350 is lowered 1 inch and has a 1 finger wheel gap. (eibach pro kit)

The cavalier is lowered 2 inches and has a 2 finger wheel gap. (sprint springs, Koni yellow shocks)

Stock the cavalier looks like a 4x4, it had a 4-5 finger wheel gap. I lowered the car when it was my summer car. I have snow tires and get around fine so i just left it lowered.

ya its a replica. I thought i was asking the style of bumper not the make it self.

In my sig it says INGs bumper when i guess it could/should say ING replica, but iam trying to hide the fact it is. If so i wouldnt have spent all that time making the thread about the replica kit.

Yes, it is mandatory that you state whether or not you have an authentic piece or replica in your sig. That is why i have a horse **** in my sig

its not stored yet. Ive been working on the cavalier the past few weeks. I just started driving the cavalier again a few days ago. Once i finish the rest of the cavaliers and 350s to do list the 350 will go away. I would wait until snow sticks to the ground, i have to wipe snow off of the car, salt is on the road or i have to scrape frost but then i may not get a chance to give the car a good wash and wax before it goes away. The weather says low-mid teen sat through Tues so ill probably just store it next week to be safe.

Cavalier to do list:

-Install fog lights -DONE
-Replace spark plugs -DONE
-Replace fuel filter -DONE
-Replace front rotors -DONE
-Replace front calipers -DONE
-Replace front pads -DONE
-Replace rear drums -DONE
-Replace rear shoes -DONE
-Replace rear spring kit -DONE
-crank case cleaner -DONE
-oil change -DONE
-fuel injector cleaner -DONE
-repair rust under doors -DONE
-get car undercoated, (rustcheck) -DONE
-clay bar and wax car

350 to do list:

-Swap rims and tires to the 04 set
-Oil change
-clean interior
-wash car
-wax car

Cavalier actually looks so much better now.
The Z looks good too but you should get some nice wide wheels now.

thanks

That's the plan, i am having a hard time finding a set i really like though. most likely will be a set of 20s with 275 rears and 245 fronts. If i don't buy them spring 2010 then iam going to get a set of 25 mm spacers to make the stock rims fit better.

That bodystyle of Cavalier is becoming pretty rare. I actually liked those coupes way back in the day - well the way they looked at least.
