Jason,

Yes, I have one of the 1st ones when the TT came out in 2000. Still miss the Quattro in wet/winter, but the brakes, suspension, gear box & engine in the 350z is much better. The other things I miss in the TT is the nice interior and the seat. Yes, TT has better seat.

I can tell more when/if we ever meet.

that's cool. my brother has a tt (2002 ALMS edition) and i really considered one, but the pricepoint of the 350z is really hard to ignore.

Do we really have to change our brake fluid for the school?

They do inspect your brake fluid but as long as it looks clean, I think you can get away with it.

i'm not sure what the manual says, but i recommend every two years. in general, i will do oil every 6 months (i don't drive that much and i use synthetic) and all other fluids every two years.

I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything about how often to change it. They just basically said not to get it on your clothes and which one to use.

Yep, wish more of us could be there. Wet track in the morning then dry track in the afternoon. Can't get any better than this.

For those who had wish they were there, I am happy to report that our Z behaves very well in both wet and dry near the traction limit - break-off is predictable and recoverable.

p.s. I have stock RE040 tire on and my VDC is off for the dry track.

yeah, this was a great way to get to know your car's limits, or probably more like the driver's limits

I loved the skidpad stuff. Especially the last exercise where you go around in a circle as fast as you can till you start loosing traction and you have to learn to recover and keep going... and if you're too good the insturctor starts playing wtih the hand break. That was tons of fun!

However, the track time was disapointing for me. My instructor gave almost no input. He was just kinda sitting there for the ride. Every now and then when he did make a coment it was always the same general "that was ok" or "that could have been better" but that was about it. He never really told me why what I did was wrong or how I should have done it or what were the consequences of me doing one thing as opposed to another. Plus my group was super slow, nothing wrong with going at the speed you're comfortable with, but they were not letting me pass! That was so frustrating! I think about 80% of the laps I did all in 3rd doing about 40. It was boring, it was uneducational, it was disapointing! It wasn't untill the last session I got some space in front of me and managed to do about 2 or 3 laps faster. But then I found myself staring at some one's trunk once again.

Sorry to hear that Blackie, you should have been in my group - it was a lot of fun. I have a super instructor this time by luck, he really taught me a thing or two and his comments/remarks were always encouraging and useful.
