Less weight = more power; Have you lightened your Z?
Got ambitious and started lightening the Z! Got the back half interior removed permenantly and am going to start stripping the tar and sound deadener this weekend. Next is removing the heater core and extra crap under the dash!

Got color coded paint on the way to finish the interior off after it is all scrapped and cleaned up. I will be welding in a harness bar and some provisions for a future rollcage prior to paint.

The quote is simply incorrect. Whether the author was mistaken, or it was incorrectly edited, who knows. No 350Z's, no matter where they are, Japan, US, Europe, or anywhere else on this planet or any other, have rear seats, or provisions for rear seats. Previous generations of Z's did have the option for a 2+2 configuration however.
Either way bumping cause I'm at 3200lbs with dte light 25miles left....

Awesome
these are estimates...please confirm or deny
6 point cage = 60lbs +/-
LS1 = 390lbs +/-
TH400 = 134lbs +/1
VQ35DE/HR= 300-330lbs +/-
CD009= 125 +/-
estimated difference of roughly 129lbs +/-

shoots...came in here expecting something new...

trunk release/pop assembly = 3lbs
My BCM is shorted, and randomly popped the trunk. Removed it and relocated the child/safety release to the armrest area.

Now THAT is gutted, lol.
Question...why doesn't anybody make lightweight subframe brace replacements? Every time I'm under the car I sigh and wonder how much these steel beasts must weigh.
