Default NISMO or other aftermarket LDS + VDC?

The dealer is replacing my transmission and offered to do my rear-end swap (I am considering one of the pre-assembled nismo lsd + 3.9 gear pieces from 350evo) -- but I want to know, will installing a non-stock LSD affect or disable / confuse VDC? I have an 03 track if it's relevant.

My goal is to lighten / improve the driveline with either the Tilton, JWT or Nismo flywheel & clutch setups as well as improve the final-drive, i could care less about top-speed as i've never had it over 105-110ish and on the track I doubt i'll top 130-140 even at the back straight of the glen... i just want a bit quicker acceleration and response and better shifting (less time waiting for the revs to drop) and better grip on throttle out of corners...

VDC can sometimes have a cow with an aftermarket LSD

the more the lockup setting, the more VDC will activate

I just disabled my VDC permanently so it wouldn't kick in.

It certainly isn't horribly bad though with VDC and a LSD

sounds like exactly what you need -- i went with a cusco RS 'cause i thought the RZ (nismo rebadged cusco MZ, that is) was a bit loud -- BJ and the gang at 350evo definitely know what they're doing!

machupo it sounds like your car is exactly what mine will be shortly- i already have my cans of superblue in the garage waiting on the goodridge lines hehe.

when you say 'loud' did you hear it in person or have it in your car? what about it is loud? cruising? accel? decel?

sentry - the car will be daily driven incl. winter (yes i'm nuts, but i drove my 86 951 w/ a quaife and wintersport m2s for a winter) so i don't want to disable vdc (even though i drive without it 90% of the time, except in the rain, then,50% hehe dorifto).

decided to go with the NISMO flywheel and pressure plate, updated nissan stock clutch disc and I'm going to hold off on the diff / rear-end for now as it's really no big deal to do it later.

loud as in, *pop* what tha? *snap* *pop* *pop* i think my car is broken! (powering out of a turn)... that's just the break-in (did 100 figure 8's as fast as I could... heck, i was trashing the tires anyways )... supposedly it quiets down quite a bit after you do the first fluid swap, but I never heard the MZ...

the RS is nice and quiet now

Dooo eeet. With the aftermarket LSD and that higher Final Drive, that car will feel like a whole new beast.
