Default Getting Tranny Replaced

Looks like my tranny is bad and the dealer is gunna warranty me a new tranny. A few quetions for my expert Fam memebers. Does the flywheel have anything to do with the tranny replacement? Been wanting a new flywheel but don't have money for clutch yet and was wondering if they took out the factory flywheel so they could just replace it with aftermarket flywheel. Also was wondering about the 350Evo transmition mount. Anybody have any feedback on this product? Supposed to make throttle more responsive with less lag. Thanks for any help.

The tranny slides off the back of the motor for removal. It does not require the removal of the clutch/flywheel assembly. It is very easy to swap out the flywheel when the tranny is out but when you replace the flywheel you have to go to a new disc. You may want to check with the dealer to see what they would charge you for a new disc and the labour to change out he flywheel....maybe an hour extra labour? That's what I did with my 300zx TT.

Mine is in the shop right now for the same thing, and they're installing my JWT Clutch/Flywheel combo for free while they're in there. Everyone's dealer is different though; mine's just being cool. They told me that they weren't supposed to, but would anyways since they are supposed to replace the clutch anyways on a warranty tranny replacement.

what are the symptoms of the bad tranny- who is doing the work? they don't consider your mods worthy of voiding the warranty??

Reliable Nissan is doing the work. I've known these guys for a few years because I've bought a few cars from them and some of them frequent my bar. They always take care of me. Hows that beast running Todd?
