Drive by wire
the only current way to change the throttle position is via the ECU reflash.

So does it mean that when you do the TS reflash to get up to 7000rpm (before this throttle position thing is introduced)... they also changed the throttle position?

Any way to do this with the Z?

They stated that at higher rpms and WOT, the throttle isnt at 100% open in stock programming, (its even worse for automagics).. with their reflashing, they force the throttle to stay open throughout the powerband on WOT.

Chebosto:
Thanks for the info once again.... I just worry that I have got the fuel cut moved up to 7200rpm with "another computer" (piggy back the MoTeC, not through reflash, therefore, the standard rev-limiter 6600 is still in the standard computer, but not being used) while the throttle profile is retained as the standard setup (not 100% open at WOT).... and will this ever affect the power up from 6600rpm since they mention that the flap starts to close when it get closers to the rev limiter... as much as 20%...

I noticed that my Z with an AT takes a _very_ gentle touch on the pedal when stopped to keep it from jumping. I suspect that it was setup with the 0-60 times in mind. It might help the drivability to soften that up a little.
In my 6-12 month search for a new car I noticed that at least one of the drive-by-wire cars had a **** on the dash that allowed you to select the profile.

i assume you mean the M3, you can adjust throttle sensitivity, say in normal mode a blip of the throttle will yield a small jump in rpms, while in aggresive mode a blip with equal a jab of the throttle.
