if you have a base model z, get the nismo as it comes with the stub shafts you will need. other than that, just brand preference, as they all get the job done. i have the nismo and love it. a bit clunky for some, but right up my alley.

I have the Nismo diff and I must say it is LOUD. If you are not used to driving a car that sounds like its on the track all the time then I would pay the extra and get the Cusco RS and just buy the extra parts needed..

If you decide on the NISMO diff, I have one for sale... I used it for about 8000 miles in my Track Z, properly broken in, Redline gear oil the whole time, ready to ship.... $700.00 plus shipping from Houston, TX.

Let me know.

I know I make my $$ on selling parts, but I think we could all agree - given your uses, you are probably best leaving the LSD your car has alone...I don't think you would derive the benefit from it. That is, of course, unless yours is bad somehow

I was told that to put the 3.53 gears in a 5at you need to change the lsd.

The Nismo Diff comes with all the seals, shims, etc to swap the diff. If you have a Base model you also need the new stub axels which are also included in the Nismo diff package. If you get the Cusco it is just the diff. If you have a VLSD in your car already then its only about $30-$50 worth of extra parts. If you have the base you would need to buy stub axels too and I'm not sure what they cost but they aint cheap.
