Default 350Z Chip Module Mod *need opinion*

I saw this on ebay, "redline power chip" anyone ever tried it? For 30 bucks it sounds good, even and slight gain should be good for 30 bucks right? I seems to really help in the response area.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-05...spagenameZWDVW

Thanks

buy it and let us know!
most likely its a resitor in a box. im skeptical of it working.

but seriously, buy it and try it, all you could be out of is 30 bucks right?

"i hear it works well with 3 turbonators and decals!"

hahahahaha turbonators and decals!! hahaha RICER BAIT WHAAAA!!! dont do it...1st it sounds too good to be true..so it probably is !! 2nd i wouldnt mess with computer work and chips , unless its a fullblown out one that people are familular with and there have been tests run on it..and ppl ownning it..ive heard alot of ppl fing up their motors because of comp chips!! your comp is pretty smart right now..all that will do is make it stoopid and allow you to redline at a higher rpm..which is bad 4 ur motor

wow........so this works on all 300z's, 240's and 350's from 95-05..........why do they keep mentioning how it was model specific?
i stopped counting typos before i rolled down teh page. the customer testiments were pretty funny to read the 350z guy was great. almost predictable.............funny.

i like how in the q&a section they say it wont work on turbo or sc

somewhere, some kid is ordering one to put on his four door cavalier on DubS yO!!!!

my xenon fluid is low can somebody sell me some?????

The basic point here is that horsepower is never that cheap, and anybody who tries to sell you cheap horsepower is ripping you off. That's just the facts.

wasn't there a thread a couple of years ago about a member who disassembled one of those things, only to find out it was a bunch of wires looping for no reason and a few resistors or some such crap in there? i tried searching for it, but man that thread was priceless. someone from the old school back me up here...

Most of these items consist of a resistor to manipulate the signal to the ECU, either from the intake temperature sensor, or from the coolant temp sensor, as the 2nd 'testimonial' for this particular item implies. Whether you gain or loose horsepower depends on how your system was tuned before you installed it. And don't be too impressed by the dyno charts, because there is no telling how they treated the ECU signals for the 'before' chart (hair dryer on the MAF?).
