Default clutch just started slipping, how long till it dies?

I have just over 28,000 miles on my z and my clutch has finally started to slip. I've noticed it three times today. Twice while coming up my driveway while downshifting to second at low rpm then giving it some gas and once tonight while cruising in fifth gear. I learned to drive a manual in this car on this clutch and i did manage to burn it for about 2 seconds on a hill when i first got it. Its been to the dragstrip at least 10 times and has made at least 30 passes. This is the first manual car i've owned so i have no idea how long till a slipping clutch dies. Can anyone guestimate on how long till it gives out?

Slipping clutch = Dead Clutch. 28,000.... that's about half the normal life of a clutch.

Here's what will happen: you’ll be driving 60 mph, and attempt to come to a stop. The brakes will work fine, but when you push in the clutch it will NOT disengage.

Sounds like slippage but maybe an adjustment can help?

Most likely if it only slips now when racing-if you drive easy it can last you a LONG time. Buddy of mine started to slip when racing, he stoped racing, 50K miles later he still runs that old POS clutch. If you plan on racing it it will get much worse much sooner. You can baby it a while till you save up $$$ for a clutch/fw...

Most shops will charge $350-450....$300 or lower would imo be resonable.
