Can someone please confirm that a 03/04 350Z 5AT can come with 3.53 FD + LSD?

I am not sure about the options of 03/04 Z ..and dun want to be scammed

I have never heard this. I don't think it was a factory/dealer option. Someone could have done a swap with a 6MT.

 

that's a swap, those cars can only come in 3.3 vlsd for the 5AT

 

+1. The 5AT ONLY comes with a 3.3 FD with VLSD.

 

Dont you have to have a non base model also , to get the VLSD ? I think base models come with a open rear . For G35 , you have to order the performance package

 

The 5AT Zs come with a VLSD and the 3.3 final drive. The VLSD in the 5AT pumpkin is slightly different than the VLSD in the 6MT pumpkin. This is why you can not simply install the other final drives into a stock 5AT pumpkin without some other parts. The easiest solution is a complete pumpkin swap with a 6MT equipped car or you can upgrade both the LSD and the final drive. The complete pumpkin swap is becoming a popular mod for NA and supercharged 5AT cars.

Anyways, I am going to buy a 3.53FD pumpkin from a fellow forum member for my 5AT 3.3 pumpkin ..

I want that extra "pull" !

 

I did the pumpkin swap for my 5AT a little over a year ago. Best mod Ive done.

It depends on the dealer, some of them order the LSD as an option. My stock pumpkin came came with a LSD. Just lift the car, put it on neutral, and move the back wheel, if they both move together to the same direction, then the pumpkin comes with a LSD

 

Anyways, if someone is interested in selling their 3.53FD, VLSD pumpkin, please let me know.. since I decided to go this route instead of dropping a LSD into an open-diff pumpkin

I have a posible source for a 3.5 & want to make sure it's the right one.
How can I tell the difference between a 3.5 & 3.3?????

Count the rotations of the drive axles vs front yoke. Either 3.3 to 1 or 3.5 to 1.
