Default Basic Bolt ons

I have heard you can make the Zs pretty fast without the need for a Turbo. What parts give the best bang for the buck? Headers, Intake, etc? I am looking to sell my Eclipse and get a Z, but am curious what is available for performance upgrades. Not that the Z isn't faster stock. lol

You can pick up a few easy HP with things like a catback exhaust, plenum spacer and lightweight crank pulley. You can also go with high flow cats or test pipes and a lightweight clutch/flywheel. Those are a little more involved than just "simple" bolt-ons.

Headers and cams are expensive to buy and install for just mimimal gains.

For starters, I would highly recommend that you read through some of this thread:

It's hard for me to single out just a few of my NA mods, I mean I love them all. But I started out with the intake and cat back exhaust. I've had my Borla exhaust for right at 3 years now and I still love it. Got real good gains out of it too. Then all of the other mods were done all at once. The custom cams and the Unichip made all the difference in the world. Everything else is like the supporting cast. Sitting right at 290 whp on the load based dyno it was tuned on.
