VB Upgrade... Forged Internals or SPG?
Looks like I'm going to keep the auto for at least a couple of years so I HAVE to upgrade the VB.
Forged gets $800 + shipping, SPG gets $1000 and includes overnight return shipping. (Stillen isn't an option)
Are they making the same mods? SPG says, "This VB upgrade includes all NEW enlarged solenoids, O-Rings, gaskets, plates, etc..Basically a whole new mechanical system for the VB". FI may be doing the same thing but don't mention it.
FI can get it done it 3 business days, SPG is talking about 4-10 days.
Certinely both companies are trust worthy.
What's the difference?
Tx

I can't speak for SGP but the Forged Performance VB upgrade is outstanding IMO. I had it done about 3 weeks ago. My shop sent the VB overnight on Thursday and had it back on Wednesday (Monday was a holiday). The shifts are very quick and pretty firm. The tires will chirp through 1-2 and 2-3 under even moderate acceleration. Highly recommend the Forged Performance upgrade.

Does it also shift comfortably when not pushing it?

At first it is a noticeable difference from stock. After 3 weeks now I have really gotten used to the new feel and the firmness. I was most concerned about downshifts at first. Occasionally I feel a hard downshift and often times I do not. For a performance feel I would highly highly recommend the upgrade.

IMO I hear they are both good but im undecided becouse once you mod the VB you it cant be modded again so if someone builds the full tranny they cant mod the VB again even though you can just change VB with someone that has it stock.
One question doesnt the VB mess up the tranny though since the shifts are harder.
BTW SGP posted in their website in the VB page that the Clutch packs should be done in two months i dont know how old this is but thats good news if its recent.
I wonder how much its all going to be.

I know it helps it but if im not mistaken i heard if your tranny is not in great shape it will start to gring it down.
