I currently have a 5at and am going to get the 6mt pumpkin swap..but the guy who has a pumpkin available has a base model, which means no LSD. Am I crazy for considering the swap still? (i plan on adding a 100hp shot of nitrous later)

nah i was meaning if you changed out the LSD - sorry wasn't thinking when I was typing
Any newfound accelleration you get with the 3.5 FD, you'll lose about the same in your cornering ability with an open diff
but then again the stock LSD isn't really the greatest thing anyway, but better than open IMO

Contact Jim at Turbo Toys in Tampa, FL. His phone # is 813-695-6664. You can get the full 3.5 pumpkin with VLSD from him. I recommend you do a full swap instead of having to worry about obtaining the gears and pumpkin separately.
I just recently swapped my 3.3 FD for the 3.5. It was an entire pumpkin swap so it was straight forward. My cruise control still works. I have not taken it to the track yet since the swap so I'm not sure about getting out of the corners quicker. The RPMs stay higher after shifting on manual mode and my 4th/5th gears definitely pull harder than before.
There are a few forum members here who have done the swap also and by far, we all think this is a very worthwhile mod for 5AT owners.
