1.i have a 5at 3.3FD with no LSD so in order to switch to a 3.5 do i need LSD???

2. what are the exact parts i need to buy in order to put a 3.5 FD in?? cant i just get the ring and pinon from 350evo.com for 400$ and put it in??

3. also im in houston and does anyone know a good shop that could instal it??

There's no way to easily convert the internals from the 3.3 to the 3.5. Your best bets are to trade with somebody who has the 3.5 already and is looking for the 3.3, find one off a junked 350Z/G35 or purchase a new pumpkin.

Once you have sourced a 3.5 pumpkin, you can add or replace the LSD if it is an open differential or has the VLSD, otherwise just swap the pumpkins. Any reputable shop can do a pumpkin swap, that's the simple part.

PM inTgr8r on g35driver. He just did this mod. He's in Canada, but he did a good write up and can answer all of your questions.

its almost cheaper to find someone with a 3.5 MT who wants a 3.3 rear end... they will most likely swap rear ends with you...

or find a 3.5 rear end off a manual Z / G from a junk yard

a NEW complete assembly ready to swap WITH lsd will be $1250 plus shipping...

gearing alone in 3.5 is around $500.. you WILL need a VLSD or Open Differential from a 3.5... To purchase that new, you are looking at more then $1250...

You can also get a 3.7 gear set which works even better on the automatics then the 3.5... for that, find a rear end at a junk yard and put the 3.7 gear set in it...

sorry for the newbish questions but are the 3.7 gears easy to put in because the above post says that putting in a 3.5 would be a lot of work
