Default Is there a way to raise idle for 2004.5 Z ?

I've tried to get the idle raised via CONSULT II but it seemed not to work on my car, looks like Chiper can't do it either. Wondering if there is any way of doing it? Would using a jack valve on the manifold that will close when the car goes into boost work fine?

So the UTEC will both raise the idle and the Rev Limiter?

Starting with the 2004 models, the Z became a Ultra Low Emission vehicle. Changes in the ECU made it so the dealer (or anybody else with Consult II) can no longer adjust the idle.

Sorry... was late when I posted that and was thinking rev limiter for some reason. Anyway, I thought the cypher would do it, and I know the reflash will.

The best way to raise the idle on the 2004.5 350Z & G35 is via an ECU Flash. Here is a link for informtion on our ECU Flash programming: http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/mm5...y_Code=350Z_EM

Hope this helps,

Yes, you definitely better check into it before you do that. There is a post here about somebody that did it and wound up screwing up the TB.

i believe the throttle plate is made of brass so even if you make the opening to big you can always braze (Spelling?) it closed. But in theory all as your doing is changing the minimum amout of air the motor can injest. I know alot of the american guys do it on some of the ls1's
