Default building a n/a monster

Decided to pull the motor on my Z last night and tore it all down to the bare block. Friend of mine owns a performance/ machine shop and want to build a moster n/a car that can also toss my nitrous set up on and hit it with a 150-200 shot no problem. Decided against turbo and just do something different a high reving monster n/a car.

well, in the end my biulders plans are 8500rpm+ and near the 400hp mark without the nitrous. He is going all out forged everything, overbore, custon titanium valves, etc. going out out to see what we can end up with. We plan to have it all gone by tues or weds of next week.

Good luck man! I think that if you were to get something like the Brian Crower stroker kit with 14:1 compression and use C16 plus a massively good tune it could be close to possible assuming you have the intake and exhaust track to back it up.

i would get some shorter gears as well. you have slicks so traction wont be an issue. get a larger maf housing, bigger throttle body and port out the plenum neck, also port the runners and the lower runners. goood luck again!!

shooting for 400whp with out the nitrous. this is going to be a 8500rpm+ motor when we are done. sparing no expense in building, not missing anything on this build.

What size cams and intake manifold, throttle body, and intake pipe size are you planning on using?

I know whould have been cheaper and easier to do a twin turbo kit. But I decided to do something different. I thought a high reving bullet proof non- turbo motor would be nice. You don't see any 8500rpm+ Z's running around. I said before I think I am more excited to hear what it sounds like reving that high. Sound like and indy car or something I guess.

I am having custom cams ground for this motor. He ported the lower plenum and intake runners, extrude honed the plenum neck, extrude honed the throttlebody and fitted it with a custom titanium butterfly.
