that and on non-revup motors, the rod bolts simply won't hold up on stock rods. ARP rod bolts would help a lot, but after 7200rpm or so you need a new valvetrain anyways IIRC.

that all doesn't matter, the cams basically dictate where the power is made.

I don't think it would help staying in a powerband where you are losing power. Especially if it were a range from 6.2k-7.5k. It could help in first gear I'd imagine, but beyond that I think it wouldn't accelerate as fast.
I'm sure someone else will chime in.
Well, motor is all together and ready to go in the car. Came home quick to make some dinner becasue going back to the shop and were are working until its running and on the road. Dyno tomorrow!! All went togther smoothly especially since all the bolts ans stuff were new. Just trying to figure out what to do for a tach though since the stock only goes to 8k, he is putting in a autometer for now just to test with so we know what rpm is at. Got he axles and the gear in it this afternoon also so we should be ready to go soon.

i dont know if you saw the top gear vid but 5 professional wrc mechanics can take apart and reassemble a ford focus suspension from top to bottom and unmount and remount the tranny all within 45mins. fasssst
i would love to have mechanics or friends that work a shop that is so dedicated to a car. Put everything in the car with quality in a record time! good job to 350z0827 and crew
