Huh, alot is a understatement. it adds up very quickly, especially when I bought titanium rods that were $800 each. All said and done we figured gonna cost me about 12k. I can't wait, getting excited yet I dont wanna rush things, costs a fortune to have everything next day aired all the time and stuff. Best part other than wheels and suspension my car look completely stock and thats the way it will stay.

nothing like pushing the envelope to see what happens!! Nothing wrong with the standard bolt ons and stuff, its just I have always been one to do things different and I take everything to the extreme.

should have the dyno sheets posted by monday night if all goes as according to plan. If get it tuned and running right i plan to take it to the track this weds night and run it n/a and then run it with the nitrous and see what happens. When it comes ot new motors bikes or cars I have always been a firm believer break it in like your gonna ride it/drive it!

Subscribing. I would take 400whp N/A over 500whp turbo any day of the week. Good luck!

what compression will you be running?

I am assuming that if you got titanium rods you more than likely are not planning on running stock compression. Will you be able to run pump gas?

Yup got titanium rods, forged crank, custom forged pistons from dss racing, custom oversized titanium valves and retainers, springs. he figured the compression to be right about 12.6:1. Should rev very fast with all the light internals.

I doubt you can hit 400whp but good luck with the endeavor, I hope you do to prove me & a lot of doubters wrong about the capabilities of an N/A VQ35

Boundaries are made to be broken. What would be the fun in trying to build a 300whp Z when you know it can be done easily. The challenge and anticipation is the fun of it. 400whp or not though, this is going to be a rev happy fun car to drive, that I know!

we will soon see I guess, but he has a mustang dyno. N/A with just a nismo cat back and injen cai it put down 256whp. So I guess we will see what happens.

BTW, crank came in today and the bottom end is assembled alreay he says, just waiting for the cam, hopefully tomorrow or saturday.

Just curious, 400 crank hp would be what roughly, 320whp or so?

Ill keep my estimates where they are at, those Mustang #'s are def corrected as a non corrected Mustang reading would be way lower than what you posted. Good luck!!

I haven't seen you post any information on engine management. Will you be running with UTEC or Motec or what?

I have a utec that I will be using. Though it would work better since I plan to run my nitrous set up as well on the new motor.

+1

Really depends on the aggressiveness of the cams. The bump in compression should put him over the 300 rwhp mark with decent cams.

what about some ITB setup like the new topsecret kit??

and is a UTEC enough of a machine to get what you want out of it tuning/control wise?

like i told you before, i think its awesome what you are doing and i hope you can pull off some great numbers NA, i said 320 dynojet SAE, i mean people get lots of NA power out of other motors, this motor is no exception, just people havent even traveled down this road much..

good luck and looking forward to the numbers...
