Question Aftermarket Clutch Install at Dealer? Yes or No?

My local Infiniti dealer is giving me grief about buying my own clutch/flywheel online. The dealer's prices are OUTRAGEOUS for aftermarket items. Anyway, they are saying they are not going to give me any warranty on the install. Has anyone had a similar experience? Has anybody had a clutch/flywheel installed by a non-dealer? I know it's a long shot, but if so, does anybody know a good place in the Albuquerque, NM area?

They will install it but they will not warranty labor or parts because it is aftermarket. You won't have a problem though. I just had Nissan do my JWT clutch and flywheel and the thing is perfect. They even adjusted the clutch so it lets out at the floor. You're not going to get a warranty through dealers unless you purchase through them. If they do bad work and it causes problems they are liable since they did the work but they are not going to warranty parts. Good luck I say let them do it, at least dealers know their own cars.

There is absolutely no reason to go to the dealer for any kind of work. If you are not able to do the work yourself, reputable independent shops will usually do a better job at a significantly lower cost.

The only reason to take your car to the dealer, is if there is warranty work involved. Otherwise, diy or independent shop is a much better option.

Just took mine in for a new tranny and they said the same thing. Install for free but no warranty for parts.
