I'm getting a new motor, should arrive next week. Sorry if this was discussed somewhere in past chapters of this thread. Is a new motor from the plenum down or do they replace that also. Do they normally give you new sparkplugs and injectors?

Once it arrives I'll add myself to the list and keep you updated. Thanks for a great forum

Congrats on the approval for your V2 and welcome. Hope your V2 is a winner.
No new plenum. It's a long block. Don't know from experience yet, but heard no on new plugs and injectors. You'd think at least new plugs due to plugs having some possible oil fouling. Could depend on Dealer tho. Other members would know better than me on that. I'm still rolling with my oem and still fighting to get my V2.

Good luck in getting everyone to fill out all that crap. Your basis is wrong - it's not the "breakin" style OR the oil we use that causes this if you would read everyone's complaints. Most people broke their V2 in easy as I did and used the proper oil, so this is all speculation that will lead to nowhere!

Good luck!

^^^he's right, i thought this way too until you read through this thread more and more and realize that oil and breakin style made no difference. or at least with the ppl who have posted on here.

Glad I'm not the only one capable of seeing this - breakin style and type of oil have very little if anything to do with the mechanical defect of the V2.

The V2 is just like the V1, a crap shoot, as Forest said, "you never know what you're goina get". Actually, time will tell for you who think you're V2 is a "success". It's still flawed and as such can start consuming at any mileage. Don't count on it.

Would someone please update the JANUARY stats on Page 1. There are numerous people since January who said they have a V2 in the "no go" and are not on the list. Several people have asked that you update it. No one will update the STATS because you believe this thread is to find the hidden cause or "to determine what is causing" the problem? How about sending the stats to Nissan (which I'd like to do) to send a clear message that this is unnaceptable. The stats are to determine what causes OC? What?? We don't know what causes it other than there is obviously a mechanical defect. The '06 automatic doesn't consume. The rev up V1 and V2 do. Hmm.. We should use the stats to rub in Nissan's face the fact that there are WAY too many folk here consuming...

Please update the stats based on what's in this thread and quit giving us more paperwork to fill out.

Guess i've had enough of all the stats and re-stats and more stats with no action or posting of what information is being collected..

Frankly, this has become a useless thread. It was informative at one time but now it's about a few insecure people who have to get their ego stroked online and control information dissemination.

Think I'll get me a Honda with some nice mods and move on..

Good luck all ya'll

If you two wish not to participate, please let me know. I will remove your names from the list and not bother you anymore with PM's in the future.

No hard feels either. Everyone is entitled to their opinions

Thank you.

I have participated and sent you guys stats time and again but to no avail. Page 1 is still not updated. As others who have been through here with the same OPINIONS and said the same things to you guys and you refuse to listen or update the stats list because we just don't comply with repeated attempts at getting stats in your own controlling way.

Yeh take me off your list why don't you.

Okay...well do. Sorry you feel that way...no worries.

Here's the latest stats from ZeeForce. The post got buried and he hasn't moved to first page yet. Hope it helps in what you want it for.

My mistake - holy crap that's a whole lot of "no good" folk. This should be on page 1. You shouldn't bury it.

Burying it was not Curtis's intentions. He's still trying to re-arrange things on first post. You're only allowed so many attachments per post.
I suggested recently he link that post to first post, as it wouldn't be considered an attachment. He'll get it done one way or another soon. I don't have editing access to first post as he does.

Here's another resource, if interested, on Driver. Poll done a long time ago with number of G owners that have OC issues. Note 05 and 06 6mt's. Those are the rev-up VQ's in G35's.

Take care.

This is to help Curtis (ZeeForce) on his first page; post #1, concerning his 'coming soon' note on 'Reasons for OC by Amsoil'.
As many may know, you're only allowed so many attachments per post and there's no room for this as an attachment.
I mentioned to Curtis I would post this up and he can link this on the first page; first post, being I'm the original supplier of this Amsoil TSB OC article.

Interesting info. Possibly a little insight as to what may be going on with our rev-up VQ's.

Still doesn't explain why some of our rev-up VQ's are good and some are bad.
Hence, my reason for the break-in study to maybe find a pattern with that.

Enjoy

This Amsoil article is not anything new - I've read it a long time ago. It is interesting a relevant to this thread if you're interested in what the "causes" are behind consumption.

Yes, it is all mechanical (not related to the oil we use) and there's nothing here about breakin. You either have a sound motor with all of these mechanical aspects or you don't.

This is what we should be focusing on if you want to know what is causing your V1 and V2 to consume - someone should tear down their motor and analyze each one of these parts.
