But before I drive I check the oil level, and it looks like the dealer over filled my oil!!! It is passed the H mark by a good 3 to 4 mm.

What do you guys suggest I should do? Take it back to them and tell them they over filled it?!?!? I am very unhappy right now cuz they did this!!!

I like this dealer a lot, but now I'm thinking about changing dealer, because of this s###.

HELP
The engine comes from that factory with 5 1/2 quarts of "break-in" oil. That is normal.

I'm not sure if we are on the same page here, but I just took my 06 in on wednesday to start the consumption process. I still have the original engine, not the V2, yet.

Let the car seat overnight and then check the level in the morning, if is still over the F mark, take it back and let them know.

yep as I have mentioned......my car sat for 3 nights. I got it changed on wednesday. And haven't drive it at all until today. But before I start the engine I checked, and it was higher than the H mark.....i'll try again tomorrow, if not i'll take it back to the dealer.

Thank you for you suggestion.

I was over-filled too at the start of my testing (1/2qt). I didn't call them out b/c I knew my current OC then, would still put me in the 'no good' range on chart regardless.

I did change dealers though b/c of that game played. Other dealer played me too by topping me off before official level reading on a test return trip.

What ever you do, watch your dealer like a hawk. I did after all that BS and qualified for my V2 next return trip.

Same here, first dealer WAY overfilled for my oil consumption test. Not sure why, since they make money off of the engine change.. they fought with me tooth and nail.

If they keep at that I would suggest changing dealers. However the 3mm overfill may have just been tech error.

Took my 06 back to the dealer today. The service writer called the master tech to come and take a look, and he admitted that it is overfilled. So he called the guy that worked on my car and yelled at him in front of me, I felt bad though.

They didn't have a problem draining it, and took my car in right away without the appointment. Overall i'm still satisfy with this dealer, and their service, so I'll stick to this dealer.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Default Installed my first mod on the freshly built engine

Ok, enough is enough, my UOA's are showing good numbers, enough confidence to install this plenum spacer that I have been sitting on for 17 months.

With 38,818 miles on the chassis, which also means I have that much on the upper and lower plenum. And my dealer did not clean it when they swapped it with the freshly built engine.

I have 18,208 miles on the freshly built engine. Sooooo I installed the spacer yesterday. It was the first time I have seen the upper plenum and to my surprise, it was clean. See for yourself below, the gold tinted stains looks good as in clean burning, much better than dark black soot and oil found in others when they pulled their plenum.

I think I am on to something good here with this engine.

The upper plenum with 38,818 miles, with 20k mi of this being under the oil consumption days. Imagine how much cleaner it would look if I had cleaned it during the engine swap.

This is the result of working with http://dysonanalysis.com with one on one consultation to get it burning clean.

A lot better than what I've seen years ago on others with major OC issues when they were changing to a MREV2 and spacer, while finding pools of oil in their lower collector.

Yours looks great...congrats.

Best bang for the buck at $1,200. I am gonna have to read up on this, and subscribe to the thread on gears. The butt dyno I felt riding in your car the other day, tells me win..win.

Quick update....

Level ground and sat over-night.
OC @ 4mm/1300mi.

V2 showing a big improvement, compared to last monitoring.
Seems to be back on track with less OC @ 7700mi on it's clock.
Will see how it goes as the oil gets older with more miles on it.

Stating my current driving habits on this V2 is irrelevant, due to only my UOA supporting how I can drive her.

Running SynPower 5w-30.

^ Awesome, that was after it parked at my house for the day, right? It goes to show that the air and gravity is lighter over where you live, therefore the oil is staying in the upper engine when you take readings.... = OC ..........jk

All kidding aside, could it be the new oil you are using?

I am due for an oil change within the next week and you already know what I am going with this time.
