Default ***05+ pathfinder differential to 350z Q***

hey guys im hoping someone is knowledgeable enough about nissans in general. i have a 06 pathfinder with the 3.357 differential in it and i was wondering if anyone knew whether or not a kaaz for a 350z or even a stock lsd pack would swap into it. the reason i ask this is because the factory said it had "lsd" but in reality it uses the abs to break the other wheels to apply power in other areas. I would like to have an actual lsd in there but there arent any available yet only air lockers.

any help would be apprecaited Dane...also i can take a pic of the diff if u guys need

find out what the rear axle is and then go put the lsd or why not put a real locker in it?

Its the Final Drive Gear... Not LSD...

The 350Z / G35 LSD's are specific...

here is a pic of the pathfinder differential, i would think that if it has a simmilar housing and the same gear ratio as teh 350z it would accept the same lsd pac

a little bump action....i also pulled open the diff and found that it has a spline count of 31...i dont know if this helps to determine if it is interchangeable with the 350z.

I wish the Z33/V35 rear end had 2 bolts on the cover like that (like the Z32 / S's ...) thats where most of the wheel hop is from

It looks like the housing is the same... but obviously have to change the output shafts... I can check the part number of the VLSD and see if they are the same...

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/228909-06-pumpkin-into-03-g-coupe-swap-it-fits.html

I dont know how many splines are on the OE VLSD output shafts, i think they are the same as the nismo ones as far as splines only.. here is a pic of the nismo one, i can count them on wednesday when i go back to work (im a bit sick rite now...)

the bolt pattern on the compainion flange may be different as well...

you will have to change the rear cover as well...

yea that would help out alot i would really like ot get this thing lsd, instead of locked ya know. thanks for the link, if the spline count and size are the same then you would think the 350z lsd would work right?

thanks Dane

The input shaft flange appears to be a different diameter...probably for the larger driveshaft on the Pathfinder. Rear cover is different as well...2 mount points instead of 1 like on a G35/350Z.
