Not bad at all. Have you thought about installing an aftermarket underdrive pulley. One of the cheaper mods, and helps out a decent amout.

slow down, how much is that going to run you?

250 for spacer, 110 for pop charger, 1600 for exhaust, 200 for good tp and 500-1500 for reflash/utec and tuning. Whos doin the install?

sound about right? 2660-3660. you could save a bit longer and go fi or, get nitrous and a few breather mods and have tons more power.

good mod list, mine is similar but i built it over time and not knowing na is a hard way to get hp. With my mods im sitting at 240whp on a dd dyno.

I think it removes the OEM bar. Verify.

jwt pop charger
Nice sound. Thats about it.

hks ti dual exhaust
Very high price for little hp, but good pipes.

straight pipes
I agree.

technosquare reflash or utec or similar engine management
If you re-flash, get the pullleys.

seem pretty solid to everyone
If you have the rev-up, get the MREV2 lower plenum mod. If you have the 287, don't.

sounds like you've done your research!!! That makes us happy. Just my 2 cents here though. I go UTEC vs a flash. Unless it a custom flash for YOUR car/ engine I don't like them. Flashes are a guess of what your car should be doing with your mods. A UTEC you can do a lot more and tune for your engine. Just do a bit more research on EMS & flashes.

Plus with a UTEC, you can change it later if you do something different, like go F/I or other major changes.

Ive just fitted lightened pulleys, Skunk Plenum spacer, grounding kit and a K&N Panel filter.
Not sure of the numbers but there is a marked improvement.
Also bought a 'cheap' exhaust.........never again.........doesn't fit!
Any ideas on a good after market system?

I'm running just APS test pipes and love it. However I'm looking at the Tanabe Touring w/ Tanabe y-pipe. I've also seen the TurboXS complete cat-back for sale around $750 new!!! Do a search for it or search the marketplace. Used exhaust are always selling.

i will be installing all of the mods+ the utec. I don't know who will be tuning yet, i havn't found out somewhere good to take it locally. I was looking into spray, as someone suggested but it seems to risky right now. I would love to go fi, but i do have other hobbys. The hks i agree is alot of money for very little, but i love the sound. The testpipes seem like a good idea, easy hp for very little. The only problem is inspection, but i'm sure i can find someone local The underdrive pulley sounds like a good idea as well. I was also looking into a lighter weight flywheel, only problem with that is the sound. I also couldn't find if raising the idle was a deffinite solution for it. Also i have to keep in mind that along with the performance upgrades, I am also doing a completely new stereo for the z. Screen front speakers, and subs.

You can also go with hi flow cats, which will get almost as much gain, but still pass inspection, and preserve the environment...

Beware the plenum spacer! Your strut brace may not fit after....

I just fitted a 5/8th spacer from Skunk, works very well but no more bracer bar!

But do you really need it?

The Motordyne 5/16th Spacer will work with factory strut brace.
