Default Horsepower question...

Ok, I know that the "listed" HP rating for Z's is 287-300, depending on the year. What I would like to know is what's the HP rating for an unmodded Z at the wheels?

...and before i get burned at the stake, i searched and I couldn't find an answer to my specific question

Mastang dynos hit lowest, but the most reliable ones are the dynodynamics dynos i feel. I didnt do a baseline, but on that dyno jet 220-230 is the norm stock. The 06s read higher, and the 07s read even higher.

Remember horsepower was a mathematical manipulation term created to sell a steam engine by telling the coal mine owners [pumping water up from mine]how much less manure they would have to haul away per day.

In many ways using horsepower vs torque to define an engine is so much manure, especially when measuring on a rear wheel dyno.

The tire wheel road [roller] interface is so variable.

Better than nothing [taking manufacturers word for it] but less than ideal.
