I really don't believe a Supra can make 1000rwhp all day long for less than $10k. If you buy an ebay manifold, etc you would be close but the highest hp stock block supra is either Peter's or Mike's and they only did it on the dyno a couple times because they knew what was going to happen. They wanted to break a record and shut it off. Neither one of those cars would have run very long at 900+ on a stock block.

Z wheelbase is 4" longer The Z is definately lighter though.
Supra is 100.4" and the Z is 104.3".

Can't wait until the GT-R is released. The TT HR will close the gap considerably.

There are easier and cheaper ways to make power with the Supra. Some of the the cars that are making 13-500rwhp are doing it more easily because they are half way filling or completely filling the coolant passages with concrete.

The only thing different from the GE block and GTE block is oil squirters. Many people use the GE block when they are building Supras because you can get a longblock out of an SC300/GS300/NA Supra for much cheaper than you can get a Turbo Supra longblock.

We shouldnt be ignorant Supra is a Supra (MK4) anyday great motor. Now like many have said dont compare FI iron factory motor to NA aluminum factory motor Not exactly fair. Why dont we all wait and compare the new GT-R motor to the supra yea their is an age difference but the supra motor has proven its self.
BTW im a Z owner but i really want to see those dyno numbers and engine mods that are making 1,800 to 2,500 to much of a big jump in hp if you ask me.

This thread was a started about a non Nissan issued RACING motor beating
a OEM issued 2JZ. So it was not apples to apples to begin with. Membership
time and post count only proves you spend more time on a computer than I do.
It's not a testament of maturity or intelligence in a given area.
I'd like to see this new GT-R motor myself. Love me some R34's

10K buys you a built block, cams, etc. 20K would get you a full race build from Sunbelt on a QR25DE. It's all a matter of how much you want to spend and what you want to do.
