Good thing I found this thread. I was about to order amsoil tso 0w30 for 1 gallon was $46 shipped. I'm do up for an oil change I'll go ahead and get the castrol 0w30 this week. What filter should I use? and how often do I need to change my oil since this the oil is synthetic?

The castrol euro 0w30 formula that has performed so well has recently disappeared from the stores, so I dont know how easy a time you'll have finding it.

You think nissan will void our warranty if we use 0w30? I drove around tonight to find the Castrol Syntec 0w30 and no luck. It's actually kinda irritating cuz they were asking me why I would use 0w30 or where I got my information from. I told them that someone did an oil analysis and the result was superb. He then asked where do they send it to? Who does oil analysis. **** like that. He also asked me why I would believe people on here knowing that all they write is crap. This was at advance auto parts.

Use Amsoil 0W30 or 5W30....Amsoil is better then Castrol, the only Castrol I have heard that is great is the European blend thats a True full synthetic...

I only paid $37 bucks for 5 quarts of Amsoil High performance full Synthetic...Great Oil and well worth it! You can get it at Napa Auto Parts...

Good luck

Good luck

depends on the store, not all NAPA's carry it.... sometimes you have to order it online as it's the only way.

All three of my local AZs still have Castrol 0w-30. I'm thinking I'm going to get 10 more quarts before they sell out, though.

Just an FYI, Castrol still makes 0W-30. It's just made in the USA from Group3 basestocks, and is not the same as the old formula that said, "product of Germany" on the back. That oil was green in color, and has disappeared from most shelves.

i plan on switiching to mobile 0w40 euro version with there syn filter. This will be my first syn change since this new engine from my old revup. And i did some research on this 0w40 and its highley praised by exotic car and race teams. WOnder why we havent been told to use it in sports cars as the 350z. Any idea why not. Upon reading they put alot of effort into the 0w40 i havent found so much detail to specs as this oil . Apparently this oil is no joke. Hopefully it will be my final oil for my NA Z plans because i just found a good place to get it. No more royal purple for me .

Whats the general consensus on changing straight to synthetic right after a 1,200mile recommended break in?
