Lil video I found telling all you want to know about the LSX engine. This motor looks to be absolutely amazing. Smallblock that can be bored to 511ci :O.

 

Do the people at hinson supercars get the motor for you at a fair price or is it better to get a turnkey motor on your own and ship it to them with the car??? BTW if all goes well I plan on a stock LS7 it should be plenty power to keep me happy for a long time.

 

^indeed it would. LS7's with just and intake and tune have been dynoing 490-500whp. such and underrated motor. I am wanting to build a 9 second car to go against a family members Cobra...so I'm debating on the LSX with FI, I'v never played with Nitrous before so I dunno if I wanna go that route even though the block is said to love it.

 

i was reading something about smog legal.. can someone verify that. I think what was mentioned was that they will replace the ecu with the vettes ecu thus passing emissions.

 

iirc he said a few pages back that it will have a vette ECU.

they hybridize the two actually so the Nissan unit controls the normal functions and the 'vette ecu controls the motor.

Yep...you guys beat me to the responses. I believe Hinson's prices would beat those of GM. I went with an LSX simply because if I'm gonna do it i'm gonna go big.

 

Nitrous is being used simply for numbers and I will most likely not have the ***** to spray a 300 shot into my 454 on the street!
