Couldn't have said it better myself.

I will adress traction once I have the car...yes wider tires should help but I am thinking that the compound of the tire will be more significant. I may have to run DRs or R compounds....i may just have to slap on so 355's as suggested....

honestly I believe that this issue cannot be adressed in the same manner as a VQ....the power curve is entirely different....this car may hook off the line w/o any issues (doubt it but it may happen) becuase of how the torque is delivered....or i may just have to take drifting lesson to learn how to get her to the grocery store

DR's should help get it to the ground, big factor may really be what gear you start out in. I should do a lil search and see what these guys that have these 1400+whp vettes and vipers that are street legal do to keep the power to the ground. Do you guys know if they make an auto tranny that can handle a large amount of power that will bolt up to the LS motors? I'm trying to figure out if I can do this properly with an auto and have a custom paddleshifter done. Been running numbers through my head the last few days to figure some things before I give them a call and talk more $.

The transmission of choice for strip racing would be a TH400....there are other options such as 4L60E that is a 4 speed made to handle high horsepower and is better suited for day to day driving IMO....

or just go T-56 and have no worries what-so-ever

A 6 speed can be mated to this right? That's my primary concern...

Hey Noah, I dunno if it was mentioned earlier in the thread, I may have accidently read over it, but what are you planning to do for your exhaust setup with this motor?

i leave that in the hands of Hinson Supercars...my only request was "that V8 sound.....and LOUD" so i win't know until they get further into the project...

Yes a T-56 is a 6M/T

Right on. That was one of the things that came across my mind last night when I was thinking about how to do this and keep the sleeper 'look'. Have some 'Nismo tips welded on.

i would but the Z's body and fuel tank pretty much occupy all of the area under the side skirts.....it's either out the rear or out the fenders.....i vote for fender exhaust but feel for the first cop that stands too close while writing me noise pollution ticket.....

F the Po-lice. Just cut some holes in your hood and run open headers top-fuel style.
