wider is not always better though. Sometimes a taller tire is the trick. Either way, 7-800 whp(if that ends up being true) will need slicks. My buddy is all motor, and 440 to the wheels, and lays rubber with 315 bfg dr's. His doesn't hook till third. You might have some usless power on the street. Anxious to see your project though. I bet it's going to be sweet.

I said that a few posts back after i posted what you quoted. I have a friend pushing 700hp out of a 383 dropped into an 80's S-10 and he he'll break loose in 2nd and 3rd with 18 inch wide DR's. tire compound>width. I wish slicks were street legal.

I just can't see people dropping 10K on the VQ for 3-400 of boosted power, when the LSx would be a no brainer for the same amount.

Our thoughts exactly. Too bad we already have 2 TT VQ's as shop cars. We plan on using Noah's to test some braces as soon as he gets his car back.

After discussing this idea with a few friends I am 110% ago on this project once we see how your car turns out. One of my best friends is the president of one of SW Missouri's larges car clubs (Lasting Impressions) and we sat down and did a bit of talking when he came over for some beers with a few other buddies last night. He said (obviously) the most difficult part of the built is gonna be the heart transplant so I should decide how I want the motor done and get the motor/tranny done at Hinson then since the LS motors are so easy to work with, anything else we want to do to it we can do here. He is gonna talk to the owner od ST Motorsports here in town, which is well known in the area for building high powers LS power cars about sponsoring the car. My first car was sponsored by these guys and they were awesome to work with.

No LSX smileys at this time...so the older inferior LS1 SMILEY must take it's place....

I'm trying to get my car up and running for the Z event at the Poconos on 6/16
U should come...

AWD setup would be nice. I wonder if this could be done to an AWD G sedan. Hmm, if they don't locate my Ultra Yellow coupe that would be the ultimate sleeper...lol.

With the right bellhousing, anything is possible

I'd venture a guess and say part of what makes that LS fit in a Z is being able to seat it farther rearward than the VQ. That would make AWD not possible with an LS motor I would guess.

We won't know until Noah POSTS PICTURES.
