Well my car shipped out today!!!
I'm suprised how many ppl already have built LSX's on the LS and truck forums. Glad to see what they are putting out. Problem I'm having in my build now is deciding what compression ratio to go. ST Motorsports is gonna help me put a Kenne Belle 2.8 on there with it. I ordered the tranny a few hours ago, Stage 5 4L80E with custom shaft changes and transfercase to to retain my AWD. We'll have to run your Z and my truck when we are done.

It's coming along very quickly now and I am impatiently looking forward to driving my supercharged V8 'planted Z

just out of curiosity, why not go with turbo since your FI'ing the motor? I mean my SC'ing the car is already making rediculous power already so i'm not one to compain. Just curious why did you decide to go that route.

Believe it or not it may be a lot easier to drive with the linear power delivery of a supercharger.....it will feel like a really fast car....a turbo or nitrous can induce a rediculous surge of power late in the RPMs and knowing the limitations of the Z's traction may lead to 100mph sideway sliding (not a good thing)..a turbo would be hella fun....but V8's like most americans just LOVE gettin blown!
Thats what i figured, since your going the american route, you might as well do it the american style. None the less, the power you are creating on the Z's platform should make you go sideways none the less. It's just with a turbo your more prone to going sideways. Imagine folks here with 700hp+ are already having traction issues... you with a big v8 make even more power with more tq. Becareful!
Perhaps one day you want to be a dyno queen and slap on some turbos and shoot real high for power!
Can't wait to see pics!

I already had a twin turbo on my Z....I am going to address the suspension, alignment and tire compound as soon as I get some play time behind the wheel. From there I will determine LSD and Rear end swap options....I plan on enlisting the help of a friend of mine who is a time attack driver to help me set the car up.

Well C6R heads are not gonna fly with FI....so it looks like i'm back to the drawing board again...I should be able to source a replacement some time today....
I am going to attempt using the Nissan rear with upgraded 3.9 gearing and a NISMO LSD....assuming that doesn't hold up....i'll have to figure something out

Go for the All-Pro Hurricane heads, from what I was reading last night looking for my heads choice they seem to be the best FI choice for the 400+ cubes.
