I just got back from the dealer, getting service on my '04. While I was waiting, I took a look at the '07's. Besides the obviously cool dual intake, I saw the engine oil dipstick front and center. I pulled it out to see what craziness they designed this time, and to my surprise, it's about 2' long and STRAIGHT as an arrow, not some crazy bent **** like before, but straight. It goes in straight down, as well (i.e. no angle, just vertically straight down).
i don't borther checking my oil anymore...i could never get an accurate reading. You guys got any tips on how to get a more accurate reading?
i check my oil after my car has been sitting for a while, i.e overnight, then the oil dipstick is clean except for where the oil is. I just figure in the fact that there will be a lesser reading after the motor runs and the oil circulates thru the motor.
Is there a way to determine how many quarts low you are using the dip stick? I have an 03, and if I remember correctly... there isn't any marks on it to determine exactly how low or full my car is. Just one big mesh line with a letter on each end. Any suggestions?
lol nice i was to scared to pull my dip stick out cause i had a honda prelude and i just recently bought an 08 z and when i tried it was kinda snugged in there so i was like naw ill just leave it in there lol
