Please explain the logic of 12k when my window sticker clearly says 3/36k?
The clutch is a wear item, only covered for the first 12K miles.

The only clutch qwirk I can think of is a "roughness" when I depress the pedal anytime over 3500rpm. Also, unless there's a little more than desirable gas (I don't like to give it more than it really needs - no need to overaccelerate since the car is new), when taking off from first I get a very slight vibration-like the flywheel might not be true (I had it happen to a 4Runner and it was never truly fixed, even after 3 flywheel replacements). Otherwise, it seems to be working ok.
Any word on a bulletin or recall at this point? A clutch that does not work properly is absolutely a safety related problem and needs fixing immediately.
does anybody else have this slight vibration when taking off from 1st gear? i have experience this in my 07 a couple of times.

Oh man did my car get *****y friday night.

Driving down the road 1st - 2nd - 4th -GRIND - 6th.

My 6th gear synchro is COMPLETELY failing. 6th was always hard to get into, but if I'm going over 50 shifting into 6th from 5th even grinds. I have 2800 miles, and I have the rattle everyone is talking about, it sounds like I have a LTW flywheel.

Scheduling an appointment tomorrow and leaving them the car until its fixed....

Just get it.

I have the clutch issue and with mileage its almost gone now (not wanting to jynx myself).

The tranny issue you go into buying the car expecting. I put redline in and have already gathered documentation to fight it (including the owners manual copied and highlighted, and info from redline on mixing to achieve the correct weight). I almost wish I hadn't changed my fluid, but it stopped a grind in my friends transmission switching from Nissan to redline so.....

The car is an absolute dream to drive and my dad commented that it was mroe fun than his Vette (I agree, although his Vette is a lot faster) because of how tossable the car is.

Default I don't know what to do

well I am know on the third transmission from nissan, it still sounds horrible at idle once it warms up, my dealership told me they would have me drop it of when the nissan engineer was in town which was supposed to be the week of the twenty seventh, and see if he could fix it, the service director promised he would call, that week, he never called! I called him on friday when he barked at me saying "I don't know the engineers itineary, I call you when he is around and hung up on me", the I went to another Nissan dealership to get my oil changed, the mechanic was nice and let me under the car in the shop when I noticed bits of melted rubber splattered all over the undercarriage. On closer inspection I found the rubber boot under the shift linkage hanging down all torn to peices laying over the driveshaft.. The guy changing the oil, zipped tied it back up and told me I should go back to my dealership and have them fix it. Well I did, and when the mechanic came out to get my car, he got in and revved the motor and dropped the clutch chirping the wheels. So then the mechanic calls me over because he can't find what torn boot I am talking about. I point it out, and he says oh, that O.k. Then he proceeds to bark at me saying " I can't be under the car for insurance reasons, fine, whatever I walk out and go have a ciggy. Turns out they still had not shipped one of the other transmissions they had replaced so the took the boot off of that one. The mechanic returned the car to me in the parking lot with his greasy gloves on, leaving grease on my steering wheel. This same dealership has also gouged/scrapped two rims now, and claimed to have had nothing to do with it. I would take it to another dealership, but other dealerships have told me they will not touch other dealerships warranty work, so I am stuck with windsor Nissan of new jersey in regards to anyhting that goes wrong with this transmission or clutch that still to this day make the noise, worse than ever. Now on Nissans side: I am sure not all are like this, I am sure I am just having a bad experience, But between the engine noise, exsessive paint chipping, and a pleathera of other new noises and defects I a find every other day, I can't say I am having a good time. If anyone in new Jersey, Delaware or pennsylvania know any good Nissan dealerships or Z33 specialist please let me know. I love the car and do not want to lemon it, but I can't live with a brand new 2007 thirty thousand dollar car that sounds like Deisal helicopter at idle are a little normal driving. Well I just had to get it out this whole thing is driving me crazy, I still gotta admit for the price it's and amazing car, and it's beautiful
