Default very bad hesitation....

i seem to be getting some really bad hesitation lately. 1st gear feels ok but once i get into 2nd and above it feels really laggy. sounds a little like its struggling. i am throwing a code for my o2 sensors but i have tp on the car and didnt think it would be a problem. any suggestions? could it be the plugs maybe? or should i buy some non foulers?

Do any really hard driving before this started? Have you had a compression test lately? How many miles are on the car?

90,XXX miles, its bad right from the start up. like when i take off from a light, (normal) it revs all slow and laggy... As far as a compression test, not lately. been a little broke and it sux. but as im driving if i punch it, i can feel it kind of bucking. very lightly but i can feel it.

Perhaps a bad batch of gas or fuel filter related.

I haven't had to replace the one on my car as of yet, but have done plenty on other vehicles. It's fairly simple though. A few hand tools and some rags.

and one of the O rings...(that rubber thingy) i did it on my spec V and didnt get one and had to ghetto rig it. it wont fit back after...

ill check the hoses and stuff. another thing is the car itself sounds a bit louder. like the intake and exhaust is more throaty for some reason. ( i have a popcharger, test pipes and a y pipe and its changed a good bit since installation ((and i know its not just breakin))) im just keeping my fingers crossed that there is a cheap way of taking care of this.

some cars use brass O-rings also. My old Eclipse did.

I think the noise thing might just be your mind playing tricks on you. I'd address the hesitation issue. Keep us posted.

I'd hit that filter up then, especially with 90k miles on it....

Could be the plugs also, but I'd imagine the filter would be the lesser of 2 evils.

The fuel filter on VQ35 is a non-serviceable piece. It's built into the fuel pump. I suggest hooking the motor up to a vacuum gauge to verify you don't have a vacuum leak. It's a simple and cheap test.

Good info to know. I was unaware of this, being I've never had to pull the pump or filter on the Z as of yet.
