Speaking of book, one of the state cops got out route book, and has made things VERY intresting!! God this is so fun. Ok, gotta crash before tomorrows events/driving! Brent is on the road BTW and will be catching up to us quickly!

We're all back safe and sound along with all the cars running and in one piece. The C6 conv. (automatic) I was driving got 161 but with more room still had some legs. It just crept up after 153ish. It was a blast.
Sharif, GREAT vid and GREAT work. Unfortunately it got a little friggin hot out there over the hours.
Sharif it was great to meet you man. Too bad you couldn't make the rest of the trip. It was a BLAST!

yea the zero lift notion from my understanding is with the nismo add ons minus the wing
the wing obviously adds downforce. But if u where to look flatly at the bottom of the cars desgn it is a zero lift desgn. Much better then the z32.
this was also wind tested alot on the a stock Z. very good aero dynamics.

Yea, to close it out, I think it is safe to say we all had a freaking BLAST...
It is one hell of an expereince to do something like this and you meet a lot of interesting people from all over the country.
I guess it is time to wrap up a few more quirks with the car, get some stuff repaired (front bumper, rear bumper and window) then see about cleaning out the few remaining to-do's and she should be ready for next year
I hope to see a few more friends on AKA '08 !!!!!

Well, I have to admit I was paying most of my attention to the road/markers and not the feel of the car. BUT I can say that it was a bit squirrelly at 183, but only with the wind blowing. The Salt is pretty slippery and you get minimum traction, so steering is really not anything you think about. You just try to hold it straight and let the car go where it wants to. I am sure on pavement things would be different.
I was amazed at how fast each mile passed by at that speed... I mean it seemed like 10 seconds for each mile... But it was hard to really comprehend because there is nothing to compare to, its such an empty space...
I have done like 150+ mph on pavement and that seemed MUCH faster then 183 on the salt flats (and MUCH more stable too for that matter). I guess perspective is hard to judge when you have 50 square miles of nothingness surrounding you.
I had a great time and cant wait to do it again next year (faster this time too).
