Quick update from the Rally. Brents car just died. Looks like he broke the splines on one of his axles. Hes getting it towed to the nearest Nissan dealership. Will try and keep you guys posted. Thus far we are the only ones not to get pulled over, but thats cause im too fast to be caught! JK!

you haven't been pulled over yet? what are you driving a souped up ambulance with JJ McClure and Cpt. Chaos at the wheel and a drunk protologist in the back performing experiments on some unsuspecting nature lover?

 

Hopefully the dealership has the parts in stock and can get the car back up and running ASAP.

 

How'd you break the splines. I didn't think it would happen on a car without slicks. Figured the tires would break loose before any damage was done.

because the aero is stock but the engine/management/drivetrain are most certainly not

I spoke to Brent, and he told me hit a raccoon (sp) and it destroyed his front bumper, and then either a piece of the bumper, or the coon broke his axle. He is at the dealership now trying to get it sorted. I hope he can get on the road again quickly.

I had put $$$ down for this years AKA but because there were no engine management options available I liked, or a fuel system I trusted to drive hard with cross country I decided it would be automotive suicide to go this year, so I didnt. Hearing about how everybody is getting pulled over and Brent hit a racoon and damaged his car/axles whatever, I have no regrets in my decision Damn Brent has bad luck, at least nothing happened on the top speed run....
