did you run w or w/o vdc when you ran? does it matter?

i'm heading down for the usfra in sept to get in the 130 mph club any tips would be helpful thx

how bad was getting all the salt off the car and did it ruin anything?

 

Dude, 130 should be complete cake in a Z.

 

i know it will be but the restrictions are alot worse for 140 and so on

130 - fire extinguisher, driveshaft loop 7mm thick, brain bucket

140 - gotta have a cage

 

VDC definately off. The surface is too slippery to accelerate cleanly with the VDC on....at when driving a nasty twin turbo stroked 350Z.

Brent hosed off the car at a self serve carwash, and was on his way. But I would expect to have some wear and tear from an event like this. If you are in love with your car, and want it be prestine....don't try this type of event.

I may consider making the journey and enjoying watching you all terrorize the salt flats.

 

i do love the condition of my car but i love the experience of these events more (hot rods (driven = rock chipped) > showcars = not driven)

i'd drive to a show rather than trailer it there

Why even bother?

 

It's a lot of fun no doubt, jsut be sure to bring LOADS of sunblock and water...
I am sure we will be partying it up the night before somewhere and the night after the run too.
