Default What Z motors will fit my 350?

im having trouble getting my hands on a stock motor for a decent price but ive found a VQ from a 2004 and one from an '05. would either of these work to put into my car? do i have to worry about the rev-up / non-rev-up deal? thanks, just trying to figure out which is actually compatible without giving me trouble.

Yeah, revups have a different wiring harness than non revups...

You just need a non revup engine.

Also a VQ35DE out of a FWD car (altima, etc.) will not work because the engine mounts on the block are different.

Hope this helps!

FYI - with respect to the VQ35DE in 350Z's and G35, the short blocks are the same for all current models ('03-'07). This DOESN'T include the HR series or other chassis though. You can source heads, timing assemblies, as well as a number of other parts to put your engine together if you don't find a good condition long block for your year/model. Just food for thought...

Also, make sure you check out www.car-part.com They're a good source for finding parts (used) at somewhat decent prices. If you're looking for a spare / replacement engine, I'd start here.
