saw the first page over a year ago when it was posted. I was talking about maybe some new numbers. Comparisons of before and after like acemans.

i know when 300zx TT's swap diffs from 3.69 to 4.08 we have to swap out speed sensors
to the NA z speed sensors. the na z's are the ones with the 4.08 gearing.

i would think you would have to do the same thing wouldn't you? i love 4.08 gears haha 1st and 2nd in my na Z32 are snappy. can't wait to put down 450whp with my turboosss.

been mentioned many times already - the speed sensors do not need changing, as there is no speed sensor to change. The 350Z takes that info from the ABS sensors. Nothing else is needed when swapping gears, the speedo will read exactly as it did before

got it. now i understand why i have to locate the speed sensor there when people swap the 350z transmission into the 300zx.

thanks.

Hey I just read 27 pages of this entire thread and basically my whole shift at work has gone by

This thread has definately sold me on the gears lol, I will be purchasing a set asap.

A few question's however: From what I have read, kit #1 from Z1 performance includes everything I need to install the final drive gear correct?

Also from what I understand kit #2 is if you have over 25k miles? My HR is currently at 19k mile's and I was wondering if I needed the bearing's, etc.?

Thanks,
J

correct

at 19k miles, you are on the cusp of where I'd probably just do the bearings. While it does cost more, you also are not relying on your installer to be absolutely perfect when removing the old bearings

Gotcha. k thanks.

For some reason your website(Z1) is coming out retarded on my phone. Could you give me a final price for kit #2 with shipping?

i just put gears and a cusco LSD in my 06. by far my favorite thing i've done to the car so far.

it picked me up .2 in the 1/4 mile, now i just need to get my clutch and flywheel replaced and i'll be aiming for some mid to low 13s (after i work on my driver mod of course)

Quick question, on your site: it says "please specify build date" What's that?

I read all 27 pages.
Are the utech or osiris self tunning programs better than sending your ecu to technosquare? Or do both end up doing the same thing.. 4.08 gears are my first mod and want this to be perfect.

dam 27 pages latter and I still didn't get it..

ugh. lol So the technosquare is a complete ecu reflash. Osiris or utech is just a tunning program not a reflash correct.? (could also set the max RPM redline with these programs)

this is a thread about final drives..not ecu flashes. For details on each, best bet is to visit the tuning section, or just contact each particular company

gears have nothing to do with ecu's
