Last week i got a bunch of work done to my car; wheels, springs, alignment fender rolling. heres the link:https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/305110-cut-fenders-or-more-negative-camber.html
So today i went back to the shop and found out that the noise in which i thought was wheel rub was actually coming from the driveline. In order to demonstrate that the noise was not coming from the tires the mechanic took me to an open parking lot and let me run a tight circle clockwise and counterclockwise and through an embankment, and even as the tires began to break traction there was no rub. But there still is this noise, a type of grinding noise that i now realize is coming from the tranny and differentials. It's a noise that i have been experiencing for the past 3 months but it has progressively gotten worse especially after the car got lowered. i used to only hear this grinding noise when the temperature outside rose above 90 degrees but now its basically there whenever the car is under load. Anyways, im going to take my car to nissan and have them take a look at it.
is this grinding noise coming from the driveline normal? Btw, this happens through all gears as long as i'm accelerating. I have a base model and it's only a year and 2 months old.
thanks for any input.
