engine covers
i have a v+ plenum in my car, i had to take out the stock cover, it no longer fits ( i knew that before i installed it ) anyways, it disnt look so pretty but ive driven probably 2k miles without a cover... i dont know why i didnt think of it earlyer but, is this bad for my engine?? also, ive found some new covers on the internet but is there a place where i can find some that fit with this plenum top
You are gonna have to make it fit,i have a aps tall boy plenum and bought a z carbon fiber cover and im gonna have to use a dremel to make it fit.Oh and it will do no damage by running without a cover.

You can make an aftermarket work with a little bit of modification. I have pics of two different covers, and you will see one that is black CF. I had to do some severe modifying on it but turned out. Check out the pics in the link

. But my problem wasnt quit the same but with a little elbow grease you can do it.

Not sure how much diff it makes... But... Heat rises. Why have another layer (engine cover) for the heat to have to dissipate through before transmitting through the aluminum hood? I took my cover off. Did some wire and tube management. Looks clean. Plus things are easier to get to on the engine without the cover in the way.

Here's a pic of my factory cover with my V+ Took some time with the dremel, but it ended up looking pretty factory! Now the V+ is gone and i gotta try to make it fit around the belts on my Sillen SC!
