Default +300HP "stock" 350z in '06?

More pointless roomors

This time, quoted from the Consumer Guide:

"Further out, Nissan has promised higher performance and other enhancements for the Z, but won't say what or when. However, one source reports that the '06 models will offer at least 300 hp as an option. We'd guess this means adoption of the supercharged 3.5 V6 that's due later this year for an ultra-sporty G35 sedan at Nissan's upscale Infiniti Division."

I haven't heard about the supercharged G35.... Anyone have more info??
"One source" can mean any jackass who might not know ****, but it's interesting anyways

peace

Why would Nissan be concerned about 2006 when 2004 is not even here yet?

If it's true, I'd trade in the '03 for that. By then, they'll have the S-tune goodies as factory options, too. FI with factory warranty, YESSSSS!

Where did you get your crystal ball, how can you be so sure?

Anyway, that's why I said, "If it's true...", we can always hope, right? In any case, they'll do something to increase the HP, got to keep up with the competition.

maybe someone can clear this up for me.....

I thought that any car that leaves japan with more than 287 HP has to be taxed extra???

If true i would imagine that is why we wont see any 300+ cars????

Ditto. I'll bring up my old bet from long ago. I'll bet anyone here $50 that there will not be and factory FI or wactory warrantied FI.

No, cars in Japan are limited by JASMA to only "276" hp. However, there are several cars that come from the factory that output more than that.

A factory option for 300hp- I'm no genius but I think they can attain an additional 13 hp w/o FI

Hmm, VQ, a long time ago, there was somebody on this board who promised 300 hp and 0-60 in 5.2 from sources that he could not reveal.

Not everybody's Deep Throat is right all the time.

Even though I agree with you to a degree. FI will probably not be either a factory option or an aftermarket warrantied NISMO part for a while. Eventually of course, this might change. Remember that the WRX was ABSOLUTELY not coming to the US for the longest time.

I can't reveal sources.
You know what I can reveal? That the Devils ***-raped the Ducks... AGAIN. Can you say Vezina, Hart, and Conn Smyth? I can.

Oh and on a side note I think this is just another rumor, however there is no reason to suggest that Nissan is not already planning the next phase of the Z offering. A company that doesn't think at least 5 years ahead won't be around for long (i.e. Nissan in the early 90's )

Hell, I'm all for it. Every few years swapping Zs in and out. Almost sounds bad.

I have a source that told me that the Z can be tuned to"handle more HP, and a car over 300+ could come in the future". I think he was talking about NA, and my guess is slightly over 300 (like 300-320 at most). But that was about 7 months ago that this conversation to place with a VERY VERY inside source. I wouldn't read to much into other than there could be a Z with slightly more than 300 hp come some day, no biggy.

Default MY INSIDE SOURCE

MY INSIDE SOURCE SAID THERE WILL BE A V8 coming in the near future. I was told this 1 year ago and this source is named Shin Yoshikawa. If you want to know who he even is you can PM me.No need to hide it. Do me a favor everyone, remember I was the one who made this known when it happens! Until then, let the other rumors begin. There will be No Turbo. OK, I'm ready for the punches.lol
