The gear inertia vortex ratio was altered between 04 and 06. The multiprocessor chip in the ECU would begin to overclock the preset rate of 1 revolution of the wheel/distance travelled. If you have surface mount soldering skills, you can remove IC432 (a 74LS193 Divide by 12 Decade Counter) from board SY096 in the MPU and replace it with a 74LS157 Quad J-K Flip Flop available at www.jameco.com. The pinouts are the same, so direct replacement should make for an easy job. I have the schematics if you need them. A Utec would be helpful in remapping the shift points to remain linear in counjuction with the increased mass spectometry added by the new stepping rate of the IC 74LS157. At this point you are ready to make the mechanical swap.

In short- no.

Not surprising. Do you think he has surface mount soldering skills? Don't question my intelligence old man...

The Cd009 tranny should be a shoe-in for a manual swap.

I will be replacing my Cd000 in my 03 with the 06/07 tranny early next year.

PFFF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! i tired to hold my laughter in at this post and his response to it but I just couldnt.... It's so funny when people read things like that think they are real... all you have to do to fool people is throw in some big words.. lol

but seriously, to get this tranny swap to work you'll need a new flux capacitor with the new inductive quantum drive stepping motor.

and if you thought either response was serious, you got issues

I don't see why a CD0009 couldn't swap in for an older MT... Dealerships do it all the time.
