Default Nology Laptop Dyno

http://www.importtuner.com/reviews/p...are/index.html

Anyone ever here of this, or better yet use it. I plan on ordering it myself. Just wanted to share and get some input.

Pluses are you can dyno your car with out the need of a Dyno.

You can finally see if those intakes and any other lil mod you do give you any added power.

Might as well get a gtech for less. it will tell you the same lack of quality information.

Nothing will replace a dyno. Too many variables will alter this reading. Traction being the major one I assume.

Not saying it will replace a dyno but having the ability to check out data yourself is great.

Assuming its accurate. sure. . . but dont bet on it being very useful info. too many variables.

Actually, I have used Nology road dyno back in my Subie tuning days and it proved to be very consistent and produced readings that looked to be right on the money with what mine and my friend's car was supposed to be making. I would not write it off especially for the price.

BTW, even the real dynos are subject to error and inaccuracies.

^ I disagree.

I tried this on my DSM and it proved to be very inaccurate. Too many factors have to be generalized.

Sure there are variables, but if your using it on the same car under very similar conditions, then those variables will remain almost constant, so the variables essentially mean jack.

My question is how repeatable is it?

I don't care if its accurate. If its repeatable I'll get one.
