the V2 is a handbuilt replacement motor that was built in Japan to solve the OC problem. Sadly it has done nothing to my oil consumption problems

I got one after oil consumption.

The new engine dynod 8 HP lower.

I don't know if this was a fluke or typical, but it was clearly lower.

Most people who get the V2 have reported that their oil consumption is better if not fixed completely. A couple of people have continued to have problems.

The engine has 0 miles and will need to be broken in just like a brand new car. However, your odometer will not be reset or anything like that if that's what you're getting at.

If it's the original factory engine that came with the car, yes. Also understand that the "v1" and "v2" are terms applied by the Z community to describe the original factory and factory replacement engines- it isn't an official Nissan term.
