hey guys well i've been a z owner for about 2 months now and have been reading up on the issues and things to look for while owning a z. so while reading up on the oil consumption issue i decided to check up on my oil level on the z. i've owned many different cars ranging from eclipse gs-t/prelude/nx2000 and so on and so on.. back to my story... so i go pop open the hood. reach for the dip stick.. and it wont release/open? or is there a way to take it out? its under the maf so yea.. or am i doing this all wrong? i know i will be flamed so yea..

but really tho.. how the hell do i check it?

 

Idk about your model but I just try to twist the dip stick on my 03 and pull it out.
the design of 03-05 dip stick is a biatch from nissan!

 

Contact ur local dealer. Prob wont be flamed, we got way better people to flame

 

Yeah just twist it a bit. If you thought getting it off was a baish you are in for a real treat when you try to put it back in.
