Default Need help fast! Maybe...

Ok here is the deal. I am turning my car in on Wednesday to get a new G37. So I started to unintall everything on my car. Only engine mods done was Crawford manifold and Stillen Intake with 350z tube. Ok now heres the problem...

My car has a rough idle. It will drop to about 650-600 RPMs if not lower and work its way back to normal idle then 10-15 seconds later it will drop again. It really feels like its going to stall. Then when the RPMS drop real low and I hit the gas it hesitates for a second or to then revs. The car runs fine while driving but not at idle.

Things iv done so far trying to fix: reset ECU and Throttle Body, Cleaned throttle body (it was full of carbon), cleaned MAF, Uninstalled the stock plenum and intake and reinstalled checking all gaskets and such. I have no idea what to do now... It idles like I have an agressive cam kinda lopie untill it drops off really low on the verge of stalling....

Now for the maybe should I even care as I still have 3 months on my warrenty...

Thanx!!!

could be a few possible things:

1. Vacuum leak as a result of the plenum uninstall (check for hissing in the engine bay)
2. Fouled up the maf sensor when you cleaned it.

I cleaned the MAF after it was doing this.. I didnt hear any hissing or anything. All hoses are on all the way with the clips. I didnt go nutz and fully inspect for cracks and such... They didnt seem dry rotted or anything..

Could it be bad gas? I did the uninstall and was on "E" I went to get gas and fill it up. I didnt feel anything different or wrong before I filled but after that my car stalled like 3 miles later..

Come to think of it my car was parked idleing for like 2 hours with no problem after uninstall then I got gas and I had the problem....

Is there a SES along with it? By the way, what generation Crawford plenum is that you have?

To check for a leak, you could spray some carb cleaner or starting fluid around all the gasket areas while the engine is idling... If the idle changes abruptly - you found your leak.

You said that you changed plenums right? Check around the throttle body. Last time I had a problem there. You always don't have to, but if you don't replace the crush gasket there, it will leak.

Check out your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve, it may need to be cleaned as well or it may just be faulty. Deffinitely start looking for vacuum leaks first.

Make sure the rubber liner around the oil filler neck isn't stuck under the plenum.
