Installed cusco yesterday.

Default Installed cusco yesterday.

Well I have to say I like the cusco rs lsd much better than the nismo. It is way less aggressive like I have read. If I put some motul in it, it will probably take the little locking it does right out. Can't wait to go and take it out to the track. Now for my 4.08 gears =D

so teh nismo is too aggressive for the streets? I'm guessing the cusco is much quieter as well?

yeah a lot quieter, unless you plan on punching it around every turn with the nismo its a tire destroyer. i probably could of played with the clutches but wasn't about to do all that. i put some el cheapo fluid in the pumpkin i need to change tomorrow if i get off from my other job in time. should be a little smoother. but overall im impressed with it over the nismo. lol i hope dustin is having fun with the nismo, he said he has gotten use to it. i myself do not recommend the nismo for the streets. unless you wanna play with the clutches to try to loosen it up a bit. but since i already had the vlsd figured i would try the cusco since i picked it up for a good price off the forums.

Why didnt you wait and put in the gear at the same time? I dont know, you say you dont want to mess with stacking the clutch plates yet you have to drop the whole thing AGAIN to put the gear in.

Btw, stacking the clutch plates to a lower locking wont make street-driving any smoother for the nismo. You are just like my friend with his wrx, you want performance without any hickups or rattles. I understand.

lol i put the cusco in because i can do it myself, i can't put the gears in I have to take it to a shop. it takes about 30 minutes to drop the differntial so i didn't see it being a problem. i have no problem with performance without hickups or rattles. its the fact of replacing the tires every 3000 miles i have a problem with. never said the nismo was bad, and i have read that switching the clutches will make it easier. if i wanted the the nismo i would of bought it again. i purchased the cusco for this reason. maybe what i read was wrong idk myself because i never tried adjusting the clutches. by far am i saying the nismo is bad, it just wasn't for me. if my car was not a daily driver then i would of went with the nismo once again.

so you were replacing the tires because teh nismo lsd was grabbing to hard around corners or something? can you elaborate on that?

just going thru drive thru's and stuff, the tire opposite of the turning side would just drag and tear the tire up. unless you are moving at a decent speed or while turning, or gunning it. it will just drag the tires. motul did tone it down alot. not sure if you can see what im saying it might be more of a experience driving with it thing to understand more.

Thank you for your concerns sir. haha. Yeah I like the Nismo. I've gotten used to driving with it. It doesn't bother me at all. It usually never makes noise for me unless I try to turn the wheel all the way and take off from a start.
